JCCC SeminarDr. Russell Vance

Presented by:
Russell Vance, Ph.D.
Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute
Associate Professor, Division of Immunology & Pathogenesis
University of California at Berkeley

Dr, Russell Vance's research focus is in understanding how the immune system detects the presence of infectious microbes. They use all the tools of modern molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics to dissect the fundamental mechanisms that provide host defense. His lab is also interested in understanding the mechanisms by which pathogens evade host immunity and cause disease.

Light lunch served

Sponsored by the JCCC, the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and the Center for AIDS Research
