JCCC and UCLA IIIT Seminar Featuring Dr. Erika Pearce
Metabolic Regulation of T cell Function and Fate
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Los Angeles, California 90095
Erika Pearce, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Department of Pathology and Immunology
Dr. Erika Pearce's research focuses on the underlying molecular mechanisms that control the development of CD8 T cell memory, with a particular emphasis on how metabolism governs this process. Currently, her lab is investigating T cell bioenergetics, mitochondrial dynamics in T cells during infection, T cell substrate utilization, and the metabolic manipulation of T cells for enhancing the efficacy of immunotherapeutic and prophylactic vaccines.
