Free "HOTSPOTS" Documentary Screening

Location: The R.P.B. Auditorium on UCLA’s campus, adjacent to the Jules Stein Eye Institute.

What: Watch a free screening and meet the director of a new documentary called “HOTSPOTS” about the 35 most biologically valuable places on the planet and what needs to be done to save species and environments around the world.

The film chronicles the 20-year research of Dr. Russell Mittermeier, president of Conservation International, who leads a team of scientists responsible for saving more precious habitat globally than any other organization. 

The Sue Stiles Program in Integrative Oncology, a unit of UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the UCLA Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine are sponsoring the event. Dancing Star Foundation produced the movie.
Speaker: Dr. Michael Tobias, director of HOTSPOTS who is also a global ecologist and author. He has produced over 100 documentaries on environmental, cultural and scientific topics.
