Pediatric cancer care at UCLA is facilitated by the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, a part of the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Clinical care is provided primarily by the Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. Additional services may also be provided by other UCLA facilities.

Pediatric oncologists at UCLA provide outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative care to pediatric patients with hematologic or oncologic diseases. The division also offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program for the treatment of these disorders including, if indicated, allogeneic and autologous bone marrow transplantation.

Survivorship

Pediatric cancer survivors, as a child or adult, have the unique opportunity to access comprehensive long-term survivorship care through the UCLA-LIVESTRONG™ Survivorship Center of Excellence. As one of only nine centers nationally, it has become the focal point of survivorship activities at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC) and UCLA Health System. The center is developing models of healthcare delivery to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of cancer survivors. The center’s clinical programs include the Life After Cancer Clinic for Long-Term Follow-Up Care for childhood cancer survivors less than 18 years of age, and for adult survivors of childhood cancer, the VITA clinic.
