JCCC “Leaders in the Field” Research Seminar Featuring Dr. Lionel Larue
Studies of Normal and Pathological Development of Melanocyte Stem Cells: Toward a Better Understanding of Melanoma Initiation and Progression
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Lionel Larue, Ph.D.
Research Director (INSERM) at Institut Curie, France
Developmental Genetics of Melanocytes
Dr. Larue's lab is mainly interested in the normal and pathological development of the melanocyte lineage. B-catenin has been implicated in the melanocytes' formation and their transformation in melonoma. His team also focuses research on b-catenin and other associated proteins (including cadherins, IGF1R and Akt).
Light lunch served.
