Scientific Interest(s):
Dr. Annette Maxwell’s research focuses on cancer health disparities in diverse populations, especially among several Asian ethnic groups. Her research in cancer prevention and control has ranged from cancer screening to follow-up of breast abnormalities, dissemination of evidence-based interventions and smoking. She has partnered with many community based organizations and churches to develop and test intervention programs to increase breast and cervical cancer screening, repeat mammography screening, colorectal cancer screening and hepatitis B testing in various ethnic groups.
