Scientific Interest(s):

Dr. Yi Sun is interested in genetic and DNA methylation-related epigenetic mechanisms underlying neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation, and their relevance to glioblastoma and potential brain cancer stem cells. She is investigating the identity of brain cancer stem cells in her lab, studying intracellular signaling pathways that include JAK-STAT, Notch signaling, BMP-Smad and Wnt signaling pathways.
