Scientific Interest(s):

Dr. Mohsen Bazargan is a Medical Sociologist and Gerontologist with extensive training in the field of Research Methodology and Statistics. He earned his Ph.D. from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and also holds master and bachelor degrees in Sociology and Demography from SUNY at Buffalo and the University of Tehran, respectively.

Bazargan’s research is concentrated around the health status and health disparities experienced by racial/ethnic minorities and socio-economically disadvantaged populations. He has published extensively on health issues of elderly African American persons.
