Dr. Roger Detels' research focuses on immunologic responses to HIV, the natural history of HIV/AIDS, surveillance strategies for HIV, intervention policies for HIV/AIDS control, resistance to HIV and AIDS and the Molecular Epidemiology and Carcinogenesis of HIV infection in Asia.
