JCCC "Leaders in the Field" Research Seminar Featuring Dr. Dean Tantin
Pluripotency, Stem Cells and Immunological Memory: Common Transcriptional Themes
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
10833 Le Conte Ave.
Los Angeles, California 90095
Dean Tantin, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Department of Pathology
University of Utah School of Medicine
Dr. Dean Tantin's research interest is in the elucidation of mammalian transcription factor function and in understanding transcription factor circuitries. His laboratory employs biochemical, genetic and genomic approaches to determine transcription factor function in stem cells, in tumorigenesis, during lymphocyte development/function, and to elucidate specific gene regulatory circuits in normal and diseased cells. He also focuses on gene regulation both from the perspective of mechanisms of action and biological effects of specific transcription factors.
