CarePages are free, easy-to-use personal websites. Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be extremely isolating - not to mention exhausting - for patients. To help patients stay connected to family and friends more easily, UCLA Health System offers CarePages.
In addition to helping patients connect with loved ones, the CarePages community of patients can be a great source of emotional support during cancer treatment.
Through CarePages, patients can :
- Post updates about treatment progress
- Upload and share photos
- Receive supportive messages from others
- Connect with other members who share the same diagnosis
- Ask for help/advice on the discussion boards
Since friends and family can access a patient's CarePage anytime, loved ones can leave messages in a non-instrusive manner, regardless of time or location. Patients can also provide one update on CarePages, rather than having to make numerous individual phone calls.
CarePages are completely secure - only invited guests can see patients' updates, messages and photos. They are also available in Spanish.
