Judith C. Gasson, Ph.D., became director of UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC) on Sept. 15, 1995. She is a molecular biologist and is responsible for one of only 40 institutions designated as comprehensive cancer centers by the National Cancer Institute. (More...)

In addition to his role as director of Clinical/Translational Research, Dennis J. Slamon, M.D., Ph.D., serves as director of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program at JCCC. Patricia A. Ganz, M.D., is a medical oncologist who has spent the past 20 years doing systematic research on the health-related quality of life impact of cancer and its treatment. Leonard Rome, Director, Strategic Partnerships and Planning

A cell biologist and biochemist who has served on the UCLA School of Medicine faculty since he joined the Department of Biological Chemistry in 1979, Leonard Rome, Ph.D. became a full professor in 1988 and has been senior associate dean for research in the David Geffen School of Medicine since 1997. Robert DuWors, Deputy Director, Administration and Finance

Robert DuWors comes to JCCC from the University of California, San Francisco, Cancer Center and Research Institute, where he served as associate director of administration and finance for five years. Jonathan Page

Jonathan Page, Executive Director, Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation

Jonathan Page holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. After many years in private business, he joined the UCLA development staff in 1995, serving initially as the Director of Development for the School of Nursing and later as the Director of Development for the School of Dentistry. Roshan Bastani, Ph.D., is a health psychologist whose main research focus over the past two decades has been the study of access to health care among low income, ethnic minority and other underserved groups.
