Dr. Dennis SlamonThe drug Herceptin transformed one of the most lethal forms of breast cancer into one of the most manageable, and has literally saved tens of thousands  of lives. In this extensive interview with Pat Kenny for RTE Radio One, Dr. Dennis Slamon, who pioneered the drug along with researchers at UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, retraces the history of Herceptin from its conception and development, through testing and eventual implementation a leading molecularly targeted therapy for breast cancer.
