The UCLA Lung Cancer Program is committed to providing the highest level of service to medical subspecialists and general practitioners in the community, including family medicine practitioners, internal medicine physicians, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, radiation oncologists and thoracic surgeons. Effective communication with patients and referring physicians is a core value of the UCLA Lung Cancer Program.
For patients traveling from out of town, communication between physicians is encouraged to facilitate necessary work-up that may be more convenient to perform near the patient’s residence prior to visiting UCLA for initial consultation. However, a complete work-up or diagnosis is not a prerequisite for patient referral.
