Thank you for your thoughtful and generous donation in memory of Lori Jacobson to the Simms/Mann--UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology, part of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Lori’s career focused on working with museums and other cultural institutions to develop exhibit and interpretive master plans, program needs assessments, and exhibit design and fabrication. She was committed to creating engaging and memorable experiences for learners of all ages.
Lori was an Advisory Board member of the Simms/Mann--UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. She and her husband Jason Kogan became supporters of the Simms/Mann Center after finding it to be a tremendous resource and source of support for families facing cancer diagnosis, treatment, and the “new normal” beyond. They faced a recurrence of Lori’s disease after many years of healthy survivorship and continue to believe in the value of this care.
The Simms/Mann--UCLA Center provides comprehensive psychosocial care to patients with cancer and their families without fees. They rely on the generosity of the grateful to help make certain that the next time a patient or family hears the words, "It's cancer," that they too have the support for their loved ones. Lori and Jason have asked that donations be made to the Simms/Mann--UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. Your gifts in her memory will be used to ensure that psychosocial care is available to other patients and their families.
Lori is survived by her husband Jason Kogan and her large extended family in Iowa.
