Dr. Deborah Estrin’s work focuses on participatory sensing systems, leveraging the location, image and user-contributed data streams increasingly available globally from mobile smartphones. Current projects include self-monitoring pilots in support of survivorship research and young adult long-term follow-up care. More generally, she is interested in privacy-aware self-monitoring applications in support of health and wellness.
