Dr. Bhowmick's current research focuses on the examination of the role of tissue fibroblastic cells in epithelial cancer initiation and progression. His lab also seeks to understand stromal-epithelial interactions prostate cancer progression and mediators of metastatic progression in bone through the use of in vivo model systems. He is also studying the development of biomarkers that distinguish indolent and aggressive prostate cancer.
