Thank you for your thoughtful and generous donation in memory of Alli Shearmur to the Simms/Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology, part of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Alli is best known for her work in Hollywood as the producer of the "Hunger Games" films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and the upcoming “Solo: A Star Wars Story." She was a petite person with mighty vision and capabilities. She tackled difficult projects bringing them to success.

Less public was Alli Shearmur as wife to Ed Shearmur, a composer in his own right, and mother of two beautiful children who she adored, Imogen and Anthony. She was often heard talking about each of her children and how proud she was of each of them with their unique qualities and capacities as well as her deeply held love for them. She was also a quadruplet and is survived by her three siblings who loved her to the core. Her sisters, Jodi and Lisa, and her brother John supported her with deep love through her cancer experience. She is also survived by her parents Rhoda and Martin Brecker. The family's loss of Alli is profound.

Alli and her family are eternally grateful to the Simms/Mann - UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology who provided support and care to Alli and her family throughout her cancer experience. Alli often referred to them as her "Angels" as they helped her to focus on living fully throughout her illness and being present "in this moment" with treatments as well as coping with the strenuous aspects of cancer that inevitably occur. The Simms/Mann -- UCLA Center provides comprehensive psychosocial care to patients with cancer and their families without fees. They rely on the generosity of the grateful to help make certain that the next time a patient or family hears the words, "It's cancer," that they too have the support for their loved ones. Alli and Ed and all of Jodi's beloved family have asked that donations be made to the Simms/Mann--UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. Your gifts in her memory will be used to ensure that psychosocial care is available to other patients and their families.

Alli believed in gratitude and lived by it with everyone on her medical team. In her medical world, she greeted each person with gratitude and a willingness to know them. She was, in fact, beloved by her medical team and all of us who cared for her at UCLA, and especially those of us at the Simms/Mann Center who came to know her, respect her and love her.

Alli is missed by all who knew and loved her.
